teaching reflection no.2

For this time, I want to share something about my self-experience of the content-based instruction. My experience is not quite this approach, because all my instructors were not aimed to teaching language, so there were not any strategies to help L2 learners, for example, instructors would not slow down to modify the input for non-English speakers, so it is hard for me, and my friends to acquire all the information correctly. I still remember at the beginning, I was not able to understand what my ISS 201 professor saying all the time, so I missed one homework, and I did badly on the tests too. Based on my experience, if teacher want to use content-based instruction, the teacher must use these helpful strategies provided in the Snow article. Including, modifying input-using contextual cues-checking for understanding-designing appropriate lessons.
